Michael Allen – PT, DPT

Mike is a PT with 20 years of experience, earning both his Bachelors degree in Exercise Science in 2003 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2006 from Slippery Rock University.  He prides himself on providing patient centered, research based treatment for orthopedic and sports based patients.  Mike has an extensive background in treating all types of orthopedic conditions, post operative patients, and has a passion for working with overhead throwing athletes and ACL injuries.  Mike’s primary focus is on getting patients back to the activities that they love.  

Mike’s certifications include Spinal Manipulative Therapy (Cert SMT) through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT), Dry Needling (DN) through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT), Certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Certified Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM).

In his spare time he is an avid weightlifter and trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and can also be found hanging out with his family and German Shepherd Titus.  Mike has also served as a Varsity Baseball Coach for both Pine Richland and Shaler Area High Schools.
